Privacy Policy
Effective July 30, 2026. Tarry is designed so that the things you express remain on your device.
Information Tarry handles
- Written thoughts: Text exists only in temporary app memory while visible. It is not saved or transmitted.
- Microphone: With permission, Tarry measures sound levels locally to animate a presence. It does not record, transcribe, save, or transmit audio.
- Photos and saved worlds: Temporary photos last only for the session. Worlds you intentionally save are stored on your device, including their names, backgrounds, listener names, and listener photos. Tarry never uploads them.
- Preferences: Opening mode, last built-in presence, last scene, and purchase entitlement are stored locally.
- Purchases: Apple processes App Store purchases. Tarry does not receive or store payment-card information.
Collection and tracking
Tarry has no account system, advertising service, or developer-operated data server. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not collect personal data on a developer-controlled server.
Retention and deletion
Session text and microphone analysis end with the session. Temporary photos are released when the session ends. You can delete saved worlds inside Tarry. Deleting the app removes remaining worlds and preferences.
Children
Tarry is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If Tarry’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is released.
